Ubuntu is widely supported on many types of applications, below we will discus these applications and information surrounding each of them.

Contents.

Desktop

ubuntu desktop edition is ideal for any users from all ages, it comes with all the applications u would expect from a modern day computer plus a few others. it has all mail and web browser functions, has many types of chat programs for networks like aim, irc, msn, yahoo, Skype and many more, has many pre install games, built-in indexing system to help searching for files made easier. also has many other applications. check out more info here

Laptop

Yes u can run ubuntu on a laptop quite easy, it comes preinstalled with blue tooth, wifi, Ethernet, drivers for display and chipsets. u can view a more updated list at the ubuntu wiki teams laptop testing team for more information here

Play station 2

Well while u can always do the mod and rebuild your play station 2 to act as a basic pc and go from there. u can take the other decent option of installing the PSX emulator check this forum thread out for more information here

Xbox 360

there’s a crew out there called Xbox scene which has a decent tutorial for installing ubuntu on your Xbox 360 here

PDA

ok this is a fussy subject due to the fact there are so many different types of pda’s and pda type applications. in the basic answer your looking for YES u can install and run Ubuntu on your pda. it just depends which type of pda u have and which copy of Ubuntu u wish to run or which applications u wish u use of your pda. like does it have blue tooth? wifi? IR? gps? gprs? and much more. my best answer is to check search engines for more information on the exact type of PDA u wish to use and what options u have to choose from.

carputer

once again this is a fussy subject but yes you can install and run ubuntu on a carputer quite easy, just depends which type of hardware options u have and which type of media u have to help install the software once again check out search engines for sites and forums on more information about this subject
